Welcome to JacquelynKelly.com, the professional website for me — Jacquelyn Kelly.

If I had to choose one word to describe myself, it would be driven.  I am driven to challenge myself, driven to create a positive impact on others, and driven to succeed.

Currently, I am both a PhD candidate in Science Education at Arizona State University and a high school physics and chemistry teacher at New School for the Arts & Academics in Tempe, AZ.  I work under the direction of Dr. Stephen Krause as a Graduate Research Associate in the Ira A. Fulton College of Engineering.  Together, we are restructuring the introductory materials science and engineering course, MSE 250,  by implementing a series of contextualized content modules supported with progressive and technologically enhanced pedagogical practice.

I am still adding and updating pages on this site.  Feel free to look around and check back often for updates.

Have a wonderful day!

  • Some Quotes….

"Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up."
    - Thomas Edison

"There is a great danger in the present day lest science- teaching should degenerate into the accumulation of disconnected facts and unexplained formulae, which burden the memory without cultivating the understanding."
    - J. D. Everett (In the preface to his 1873 English translation of Elementary Treatise on Natural Philosophy by A Privat Deschanel.)
